The Ministry of Home Affairs in close collaboration with UNHCR, the
World Bank and other partners is implementing various activities to
provide refugee relief support and finding durable solutions to the
plight of refugees by way of voluntary repatriation, grant of
citizenship by naturalization and resettlement to a third country. To
fulfill this mandate, the Ministry of Home Affairs, has set aside some
Project Funds, to be utilized in the recruitment of professionally,
suitable candidates.

1. LOCAL INTEGRATION COORDINATOR – (ONE POST)
Job title - Coordinator of Local Integration Programme (LIP)
Reports to - Director, Refugees Service Department
Location - Dar es Salaam, with extensive travel to Katavi and Tabora Regions
Duration - One year contract, renewable and expected to last for not less than 4 years

Required minimum qualification
• Possession of a degree qualification or relevant training in Economics,
• Development, Social Work, Politics, Refugee Protection, coupled with extensive

• Donor agencies, with demonstrated experience in formulating strategies, planning, designing/implementing strategies will have added advantage.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Programme Development and Implementation
• To serve as the Government’s focal person for the development, review and implementation of the Local Integration Strategy.
• To coordinate the development of local integration projects.
• To receive proposals from MDAs, Local authorities and other actors and make appropriate recommendations for consideration by the
programme steering committee.
• To assist with monitoring the implementation of approved projects.
• To prepare periodic reports for submission to the Director of the Refugee Department.
Project Management
• To line manage all the local integration project staff.
• To ensure the smooth implementation, management and sustainability of all project.
• To co-ordinate development, implementation and monitoring of annual work plans, budgets and activities of the LIP.
• Ensure that all project outputs, as listed in the project documents, are effectively achieved.
• Co-ordinate development and implementation of a participatory monitoring and evaluation system for the project.

• In times of influx co-ordinate with UNHCR staff and other IP to ensure reception Centre/transit centers are run in line with standard operating procedures.
